At Fafarua you are not booking a hotel room: you take over an island. The lodge, motu and boat are reserved exclusively for you — family, couple or friends — away from the village, on the south-east of Tikehau atoll.
The private grounds around the Lodge can be explored on foot from Fafarua, between lagoon and ocean. They are separate from Tikehau Activities excursions.
Beach, coconut trees, horizon
The lagoon beach sets the pace of the day: swimming, reading in the shade, hammocks and loungers. Time is not a schedule — it belongs to your group.
An island with four shores
The motu opens onto the lagoon, the ocean and reef, and channels linking both. Explore on foot, by kayak, paddle or swim — without sharing the place with other guests.
The quiet of a remote atoll
Reached only across the lagoon, about thirty minutes from the village, Fafarua keeps the quiet of the Tuamotus. A few boats pass in the distance — the silence of the motu stays yours.

What is Fafarua Lodge?
It is a private motu in Tikehau where you take over the house, island and boat for your group alone — not a hotel room shared with other guests.
How many people can stay on the motu?
Up to eight guests, aged 12 or over. The minimum stay is three nights.
Where is Fafarua motu?
On the south-east of Tikehau atoll, French Polynesia, about a thirty-minute boat ride from the village. Access is only across the lagoon.
Do you share the island with other guests?
No. Only one group is welcomed at a time: beach, lodge and boat are reserved exclusively for you throughout the stay.
