The outdoor spaces of the motu

On the motu, life also happens outdoors. The fare poté, beach, landing and outer reef shape your days — in the shade, at the water's edge or facing the ocean.

Outdoor spaces
The fare poté
01

The fare poté

A covered outdoor lounge with a timber frame and thatched roof, a few metres from the kitchen: gather here for meals, conversation and grilling. Hammocks and shaded seating complete this living space.

The lagoon beach
02

The lagoon beach

Loungers on the beach, pale sand and lagoon water a few steps away. It is the first horizon of your stay: swim, read, do nothing — with no other group on the island.

The landing
03

The landing

Arrival and departure are by the lodge boat. The landing is the threshold of the motu: you dock after the airport transfer, and leave on the last morning — always exclusively for your stay.

The outer reef
04

The outer reef

On the ocean side, the reef edges the motu. Walk there, watch the swell and coral gardens, and see the atoll differently than from the lagoon. A wild landscape, a short walk from the house.

Essentials for your stay

  • Fare poté, beach, landing and reef for your group alone.
  • Kayaks, paddles and snorkelling gear available.
  • Full board or Fafarua experience to suit your pace.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Good to know about the outdoor spaces

Are the outdoor spaces reserved for our group alone?

Yes. During your stay, the fare poté, beach, landing and reef are exclusively yours — no other guests share the motu.

Can we enjoy the lagoon from the motu?

Yes. The beach opens straight onto the lagoon: swimming, paddle and kayak are part of everyday life. Gear is available on site.

How do arrival and departure work?

Everything goes through the lodge landing. After the airport transfer, you dock on the motu; on the last morning, you leave from the same pontoon.

Is the outer reef reachable on foot?

Yes. On the ocean side, the reef edges the motu a short walk from the house. Go there to watch the swell and coral gardens, when conditions allow.
